Why I Won’t Ghost You – Even If the Answer Isn’t What You Want to Hear

Ghosted by Your Bank (or Broker)? Let’s Not.
We’ve all been there — waiting on a message, refreshing the app, wondering if we imagined the connection.
In dating? Sure. But when it comes to mortgages, solicitors, estate agents, or banks? You wouldn’t expect it… and yet, it happens all the time.
You send over your documents. You ask a simple question. You’re told, “We’ll be in touch.”
Then? Silence.
You give it a day. Then two. Suddenly a whole week has passed and still… nothing. 🤯
You’re left wondering:• Did they get my documents?• Is something wrong with my application?• Should I chase again — or am I being annoying?
This kind of silence isn’t just frustrating — it’s anxiety-inducing. And when it’s your mortgage on the line, that uncertainty can leave you feeling totally ungrounded.
With me? That doesn’t happen.
I’ll always let you know when you’ll next hear from me — even if it’s just to say:👉 “We’re still waiting on the lender.”
Because you deserve to feel supported through this process. And part of that is simply knowing someone’s in your corner, keeping you informed.
I know how vulnerable it can feel to hand over all your financial details and trust someone else to move things forward. The last thing you should be doing is refreshing your inbox wondering if you’ve been forgotten.
No ghosting. Just real guidance.
When you work with me, you’ll always know:• Where your application’s at• What the next steps are• And when you’ll hear from me — even if nothing’s changed
Because here's the thing most people don’t realise:
Underwriting can feel like a black hole — but it shouldn’t.
When your case is with an underwriter, it can take time. They might ask for extra documents, need niche clarification, or take a while to assess everything.
But the difference is this: you won’t be left guessing.
I won’t keep you in the dark with vague updates or silence. If there’s a delay, I’ll tell you. If we’re waiting on something, you’ll know. If I’m chasing in the background, you’ll be kept in the loop.
Clarity over confusion. Always.
If you’ve been ghosted by a bank, a broker, or a solicitor before, you’re not alone — and it’s not your fault.
Ghosting in this industry is more common than people realise, but that doesn’t make it right.
My clients don’t chase me. They trust me. And that’s because communication isn’t an afterthought — it’s the foundation of how I work.
So if you’re ready to work with someone who shows up — does what they say they will do — without the disappearing act — I’m here when you are.
Final Thought
It’s easy to assume no news means no progress. But often, things are happening behind the scenes — they’re just not being communicated. I won’t ghost you just because I don’t have a shiny update. I’ll give you the truth — even if it’s “not yet.”
